Sonakshi Sinha recalls 'dreamy' proposal on her first wedding anniversary
Sonakshi Sinha recently took a trip down memory lane and opened up about her “dreamy” proposal on the occasion of her first wedding anniversary.
The Dabangg actress, known for her acclaimed performances in the industry, revealed that her husband, Zaheer Iqbal, proposed to her in Finland.
In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, she shared, “My trip to Finland, I went there with a boyfriend and I came back with a fiancé (laughs).”
The 38-year-old star shared intimate details of the proposal, explaining, “It was beautiful with the northern lights and all. It was surreal. It was a picture-perfect moment of which I don’t have any pictures. The light in the sky, it was something else. There were like burst of auroras, and the burst was green and just so bright and beautiful, it was stunning.”
Later in the interview, the Heeramandi alum reflected on her reaction to the proposal.
She continued, “I had no idea. I just thought we were going for an annual holiday. He had taken permission from my parents before we went. I actually thought he was joking.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot in June 2024 after seven years of dating.
On the professional front, the Bollywood star is gearing up for the release of Nikita Roy, slated to premiere on June 27.
For the unversed, the couple kept things low-key with an intimate celebration on their first anniversary.
