Dara Huang inspires son Wolfie to embrace his Taiwanese heritage
Princess Beatrice’s stepson, Wolfie, is already proving himself to be a bright young mind and at just eight years old, he’s diving into a new skill that’s both impressive and deeply personal.
Wolfie, the son of Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and architect Dara Huang, has begun learning Chinese in a heartwarming effort to connect more deeply with his cultural heritage.
Speaking in a recent interview with World Microphone London, Dara revealed that her son is embracing his roots in a big way.
"I hired a nanny to teach him Chinese. His Chinese is better than mine" Dara said with a smile, clearly proud of her son's linguistic progress.
But language isn’t the only way he celebrates his heritage.
Dara shared that every year, they host a lively Chinese New Year party for him, filled with tradition and joy.
"All his friends come over and they wear traditional outfits," she said. "His favourite things are bubble tea, noodles and dumplings."
Though born and raised in the United States, Huang has always remained deeply connected to her Taiwanese heritage and she’s making sure her son grows up with the same appreciation for his roots.
In a recent interview with World Microphone London, Dara opened up about how important it is for her family to stay in touch with their cultural identity.
“It’s important to appreciate our roots,” she said, reflecting on her parents’ journey from Taiwan and the values they’ve passed down.
