Kensington Palace issues big update on Princess Kate outing: 'Disappointed'
Kate Middleton will not accompany Prince William at key event amid gradual return
Kensington Palace made a last-minute change to Princess Kate's schedule just hours before her outing with King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince William.
The Princess of Wales was expected to attend the second day of Royal Ascot, but she has seemingly withdrawn in order to prioritize her health over her royal duties.
As per Hello! Magazine, the future Queen "is said to be disappointed at not attending the famous social and sporting occasion in Berkshire with" senior royals.
The report shared that the racegoers were hoping to see Catherine as the future King William was "named as one of the figures awarding race prizes during the second day," of the event.
As per a previous list, Princess Kate was supposed to share a carriage with William and professional golfer, Justin Rose, and his wife, Kate Phillips.
However, the Palace issued a major update on the royal's outing.
Earlier, People Magazine reported that royal expert Sally Bedell Smith said that Kate Middleton "projected the confidence of someone who has enthusiastically reconnected with her public duties."
But, the late Queen Elizabeth’s former spokeswoman Ailsa Anderson shared that Kate is "being sensible, listening to what her body is telling her and easing back into public life."
Princess Kate was last seen with her family at Trooping the Colour and Garter Day.
