Cricket fraternity shares Eid ul Adha greetings with fans worldwide
From Haris to Imam, cricket stars spread Eid cheer with photos and wishes
ISLAMABAD: As Muslims around the world marked Eid ul Adha with joy and devotion, Pakistani cricketers joined in the celebrations by extending heartfelt greetings to fans through social media, sharing messages of sacrifice, faith, and unity.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris posted a warm message, wishing Eid Mubarak to all celebrating globally, saying: “Eid ul-Adha Mubarak to all celebrating around the world. May this sacred day remind us of the beauty of sacrifice, the strength of faith, and the power of gratitude. Wishing you and your families peace, barakah, and closeness to Allah (SWT) on this blessed day and always.”
Batter Babar Azam kept his message brief and festive with a simple “Eid Mubarak”. The star-cricketer took to his Instagram handle and posted a picture of himself in his Eid outfit.
Meanwhile, left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi added a prayerful note on his Instagram stories: “May Almighty accept our sacrifices and guide us towards righteousness. Eid Mubarak!”
Former all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik also posted short greetings, each writing: “Eid Mubarak” to their followers.
Malik posted a few pictures with his wife and Pakistani actor Sana Javed and some family members, all dressed up for the occasion.
Meanwhile, Shahid posted a picture of the Holy Kaaba on his Instagram account, voicing the religious significance of Eid ul Adha.
Top-order batsman Imam ul Haq offered his blessings with picture of himself posing with his sacrificial goats, captioned as "Allahumma Barik!"
Moreover, youngster Saim Ayub and fellow cricketers shared their Eid wishes in separate video messages as well.
