Royal family issues major update on Duchess Sophie, Prince Edward key task
Duchess Sophie, Prince Edward continue to support King Charles amid monarch's cancer battle
Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward joyfully represented King Charles in a significant royal duty.
As per the royal family's website, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh recently visited the Inner Hebrides situated in Scotland.
The royal couple's visit was arranged to learn more about life in remote island communities and to celebrate the region's people, culture, and innovation.
The Edinburghs began their tour by visiting Small Isles Primary School in Craighouse, where they were warmly welcomed with a sweet dance performance and viewed arts and crafts created by local pupils.
Moreover, Sophie and Edward's trip included a visit to the "Isle of Jura to meet local community groups, Oban Lifeboat Station, enjoy lunch with locals at the Tigh a Truish Inn, the Isle of Easdale, Atlantic Islands Centre and the Isle of Colonsay."
While ending their tour, the Duke and Duchess met residents at the Village Centre.
It is important to note that Sophie and Edward have been given more chances to perform important royal tasks, especially after the monarch's cancer diagnosis.
The mother-of-two was also dubbed a 'secret weapon' of the royal family, who quietly supported the firm during challenging times.
Edward was recently selected by the King to attend Pope Leo XIV's inauguration at the Vatican.
