Prince Harry is seemingly left with one last string that still connects him to his past life following his latest move.
The Duke of Sussex still appears to be reeling from his decision to quit his African charity, Sentebale, which he saw “as an extension” of his late mother, Princess Diana’s work.
King Charles’ younger son had left his senior royal position in the royal family with his wife, Meghan Markle, and had moved to the US in 2020. Despite his exit, Harry continued to support his some of his charities, which he had held close to his heart.
According to a royal expert, Harry has lost one of the two “remaining causes from his old life, which he was trained for and where his charm and talents served him well: Sentebale and the Invictus Games.”
Previously, many have noticed that Harry’s “face lit up” when he discussed his work about the charities compared to when he is seen in California.
“The reason for this is simple. When working for Sentebale and the Invictus Games, he is putting something into life, not working for personal gain,” royal author Hugo Vickers wrote in DailyMail.
“The curious thing about the Invictus Games is Prince Harry did a magnificent job in encouraging wounded soldiers they were not victims by getting them to compete actively in sport,” he explained.
Vickers also noted that the Sussexes are “forging a lone path”.
The remarks come as reports suggest that Harry is heartbroken about the fact that he wasn’t informed of his cancer-stricken father’s hospitalisation earlier this week.
