Selena Gomez disses Justin Bieber in new song as Hailey seeks legal action
Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco's new joint album 'I Said I Love You First' is out now
Like many great artists, it appears Selena Gomez is using her new music as a tool to heal from her past.
The singer’s latest album, I Said I Love You First, features tracks that fans believe take aim at her ex, Justin Bieber.
In Young and Hotter Than Me, a melancholic piano ballad, the pop star laments over an ex she wishes she “never loved.”. Meanwhile, Ojos Tristes revisits a familiar theme, as she sings about reuniting with a past flame “one last time” before moving on — this time, with her fiancé Benny Blanco.
In a behind-the-scenes clip from the Younger and Hotter Than Me music video, Gomez reflected on the song’s meaning, revealing that it captures feelings of alienation despite her global fame.
“I’m so bad at parties. I am socially awkward… and I don’t think I have always fit in,” the Only Murders in the Building star admitted.
She later took to Instagram to tease the video’s release, sharing, “Through the creation of I Said I Love You First, Benny and I got to explore so many sides of ourselves… fun, carefree, and boldly in love, but also softer and more introspective.”
Meanwhile, Hailey Bieber is reportedly considering legal action amid viral TikTok videos accusing her of copying Gomez and stalking Justin before their marriage. Per TMZ, the model has consulted attorney Lisa Moore as she weighs her options.
