Scarlett Johansson 'stays true' to herself by refusing online presence
Scarlett Johansson opens up about her online presence ahead of upcoming film
Scarlett Johansson is sharing her reasoning for promoting Jurassic World: Rebirth before its release, with hopes that it will become a summer box-office smash.
During an exclusive interview with InStyle, the Avengers star revealed that Universal's plans for a massive release of the highly anticipated film prompted the suggestion that she join Instagram.
She told the outlet, “I mean, even today, I got an email from Universal (Pictures), and they’re like, ‘Hey, would you consider joining Instagram in tandem with the release of Jurassic World: Rebirth?’ (I) get a lot of pressure to join social media.”
“Is there a way I could do this and stay true to who I am? It didn’t feel like I could.”
The 40-year-old revealed that she doesn’t feel the need to join social media because her films are based on truth and she isn’t fond of posting stuff on various digital platforms.
Speaking of her online presence in the digital age, the actress further went on to add, “The work that I put out there is all based in truth. That’s the key ingredient. So if I was a person who really enjoyed social media, then I could totally get on the bandwagon. But I’m not. And I think the film will do fine.”
For the unversed, the upcoming blockbuster is slated to release on July 2, leaving fans absolutely starstruck.a
