Eminem had been mum over the news of his mom’s death last week until he performed a song about her in latest concert.
The 52-year-old rapper performed at the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix event on Sunday, December 8th.
Taking over the stage, the Mockingbird singer performed his hit track Without Me, which was written about his mother and his strenuous relationship with her.
At one point, the lyrics say “F—k you Debbie,” taking a violent dig at his estranged mother, Debbie Nelson.
However, the Grammy-winning artist omitted those lyrics in last night’s performance but the crowd sang away the harsh lyrics.
The Venom artist has previously addressed his complicated relationship with Debbie on multiple tracks including My Name Is, and Cleanin' Out My Closet.
The late 69-year-old had also sued her son for a defamation lawsuit over the lyrics bashing her.
Although following a settlement on lawsuit, the mother-son duo seemingly reconciled when Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 but just a few years later, their feud sparked up again.
After her death last week, there remains no chance of making amends.
This comes after Eminem’s brother Nate Kane posted an Instagram Story writing “hatred and mixed emotions today” in the wake of his mother’s death. Both the brothers shared a troubled relationship with their mom.
