Britney Spears celebrated a major milestone recently.
On Monday, December 2nd, the 'Princess of Pop' officially finalized her divorce from Sam Asghari, declaring herself as single on her 43rd Birthday.
Due to their prenup signed before their June 2022 wedding, Asghari reportedly left the marriage which lasted 14 months with practically nothing.
However, during the divorce proceedings, Spears continued to pay his rent for a few months after they split and he moved out.
A source told People in May, "The divorce was amicable and the prenup was not challenged."
"Britney is continuing to flex her freedom and is moving on."
The 43-year-old celebrated her independence in October in an Instagram video of her in a wedding dress, where she announced that she had "married herself."
The 30-year-old model definitely doesn’t regret his decision, as he has already moved on with Brooke Irvine.
In August 2023, Asghari made the final decision to end their marriage by filing for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their separation.
Soon after the two announced their break-up, the Toxic hitmaker confessed she was still in shock.
In conversation with People last year, the model said he would never badmouth his ex wife.
"People grow apart and people move on. I never understood when people part ways and they start talking badly about each other," he expressed.
"That's something I'm never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life."
