Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple Martin faces controversy over subtle move
Fans accuse Apple Martin of being mean for THIS moment
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Apple Martin has her special day on Saturday as she attended the debutante ball in Paris.
The 20-year-old made her debut at the annual event among 20 other young women at the Le Bal des Débutantes held in the $1,000-a-night Hotel Shangri-La.
The Vanderbilt University student donned a customised baby blue dress from Valentino which took 750 hours to make.
However, people on social media noticed a “mean girl moment” of Paltrow’s daughter as she allegedly stole the spotlight from another girl to have her picture taken.
According to fan-posted pictures on social media, the other debutante was seen posing for camera as Martin appeared and overshadowed her in the frame.
She posed with her hands on her hips, as the other girl was forced out.
The debutante was seen looking embarrassed as Martin continued to pose for several pictures, before stepping out of the way, almost cutting off another young woman who awaited her turn to get photographed.
People on social media bashed Martin for her behaviour, as one wrote, “How Obnoxious and entitled she is.” one viewer wrote.
Another added, “Oh wow, why did Apple do that? Let the other girl have a moment.”
A third chimed in, “Not a good behavior for such an event,” adding that it’s “giving Regina George” referring to the infamous queen bee in the movie Mean Girls.
