Steve Martin seemingly confirms Martin Short, Meryl Streep romance?

Steve Martin has seemingly confirmed romance between Martin Short and Meryl Streep with cheeky post on social media.

On October 19, the Father of the Bride actor recently reshared a photo from Glamour magazine featuring Martin and Meryl on Instagram.

However, he crossed out his face with a red circle on his reposted photo.

Fans jumped to the conclusion that Steve hinted at Martin and Meryl’s relationship with one user wrote, “Did he just hard launch the relationship.”

Another said, “You confirming this relationship?!”

“I'm taking this as confirmation. I've never been so invested in celebrity couple rumours, remarked a third user.

A fourth user added, “While Meryl and Martin claim they're just friends, Steve rats them out.”

“I don't know why the thought of Meryl and martin makes me so happy but it honestly fills my heart with joy,” stated a fifth user.

In January 2023, Meryl reportedly joined the cast of Only Murders In The Building and appeared in both the third and fourth season of the Hulu show.

Addressing Meryl’s casting in the series, Martin later told PEOPLE, “The story with Meryl is she phoned me and said, "I want to be on it.”

“They already planned that I would have a theatrical experience and there would be a love interest,” he said.

Martin added, “So that was coincidental, but she just wanted to be on the show. She didn't know about the love story.”
