Zara Tindall recently offered a rare glimpse into an essential lesson she learned from her mother, Princess Anne.

The accomplished equestrian spoke about the valuable fashion advice her mother, the Princess Royal, passed down to her., reported GB news.

In a recent interview, Zara expressed her appreciation for Anne teaching her the significance of investing in high-quality clothing, especially for outdoor activities.

"Mum taught me the importance of having good-quality clothing that keeps you warm and comfortable outdoors," Zara shared.

"As a sportswoman who spends most of my time in nature, this is more important than ever to help me stay at my best."

Zara's practical fashion sense is evident both in her equestrian competitions and at formal royal events.

Her approach to style, at 43, mirrors her mother's well-known habit of recycling outfits. Princess Anne, admired for her hardworking nature, frequently dons clothing she has worn for decades. This pragmatic mindset has clearly influenced Zara.

"We do timeless, signature style very well – we know how to dress for formal occasions, but also how to dress for the great outdoors," Zara continued to tell The Telegraph.

She advises building "a wardrobe of quality investment pieces that will stand the test of time but also have the technical finish you need".

As a mother of three, Zara's fashion style embodies the Royal Family's broader approach to dressing, which she defines as distinctly British.

"We do timeless, signature style very well," she notes, emphasising the family's ability to dress appropriately for both formal occasions and outdoor activities.
