Inside Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's secretive plan to reignite romance
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck living apart for months
Amid persistent rumors of marital strain, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are taking a nostalgic approach to salvage their relationship.
The couple, who reunited in 2021 after an initial split in 2004, have been living apart and occasionally photographed without their wedding rings since June, sparking speculation about the state of their two-year marriage.
Despite recent challenges and reports of imminent divorce, both have opted to reignite their romance by revisiting the early days of their courtship.
According to insiders, the couple has taken a deliberate step back from the public eye to focus on their relationship privately.
"Jen and Ben agreed it is best to take some time apart so they can really figure out what it is that they want," shared a source with DailyMail.com.
"They were ready to throw in the towel. Divorce papers are done and ready to be filed.
But they wanted to give it one last go before walking away from this and are going back to the beginning by writing each other letters. This is what made them fall in love in the first place."
Jennifer has shared how Ben preserved their decades-long connection through a collection of love letters featured in her documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
Affleck, known for his role in Gone Girl, disclosed that he held onto these heartfelt correspondences throughout his 13-year marriage to Jennifer Garner.
