Ariana Grande partners with HYBE's Weverse, extends collaboration with Scooter Braun
Joon Choi highlights Weverse's global reach and fan engagement potential for Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is scheduled to join HYBE's superfan platform, Weverse, this coming Sunday, July 21, alongside renowned artists like BTS and Blackpink.
This move follows recent revelations that the singer, known for hits like We Can't Be Friends, will continue collaborating with her former manager Scooter Braun's entertainment brand, HYBE America Inc., a subsidiary of HYBE Corporation.
According to Billboard reports, Grande will have the ability to interact directly with fans through her own dedicated community on Weverse.
Features available to her include posting messages and exclusive content, hosting live streams for members, reading personalized fan letters, sharing disappearing messages, and accessing the Shop.
Launched in June 2019, it is a South Korean mobile app and web platform that currently boasts 146 artists utilizing its services, as reported by the outlet.
The platform attracts approximately 10 million monthly users spanning 245 countries and regions, providing Ariana Grande with a global platform to engage with her fans.
Joon Choi, President of Weverse Company, emphasized to Billboard the platform's fortunate position in catering to dedicated fanbases, particularly noting the strong support behind K-pop idols.
Choi highlighted the company's strategic advantage of being an early entrant in the market, allowing them to closely observe and meet the needs of superfans.
