Scarlett Johansson's daughter 'too scared' from 'Avengers': Here's why
Black Widow’s daughter finds 'Avengers' too frightening
Scarlett Johansson revealed her nine-year-old daughter Rose is not one of those millions of Marvel Cinematic Universe fans that just loves watching the action.
In a recent interview with People Magazine, the Black Widow star opened up about why her daughter, whom the actress shares with her former husband, French journalist Romain Dauriac, is "too scared" to watch her mother’s Marvel movies.
"She likes that I play Black Widow, but she’s too scared to watch an Avengers movie," Johansson, 39, told the publication.
"She’s just like, 'It’s violent.' I’m like, 'Oh God,'" the mother of two explained, adding that her daughter likes her most recent movie, Fly Me to The Moon.
"I think she’s excited about the hair and makeup mostly," she alluded, saying, "it’s just so fun…She’s girly."
In addition to Rose, Johansson is also a mother of two-year-old son Cosmos, whom she welcomed with her husband Colin Jost.
The Saturday Night Live star also had a cameo in his wife’s new film, for which director Greg Berlanti personally requested that he do the part.
"[He] was like, 'Do you think Colin would want to do…?'" Johansson recalled her director asking.
The Avengers actress further described Jost and Berlanti as sharing the same personality in some way, as they are comedy writers.
"I think he just really was excited to have Colin come and do a cameo," Johansson described, "I was like, 'Yeah, I'm sure if you ask him, I'm not going to ask him.'"
