Glen Powell weighs in on his friendship with Tom Cruise

Glen Powell gets candid about his friendship with Top Gun: Maverick co-star Tom Cruise.

Speaking with E! News, Glen said, “It’s the best.”

“He’s such a great friend and such a great mentor and it’s been such a special part of my life,” stated the Anyone But You star.

Glen revealed that his friendship with Tom helped him prepare for his latest movie, Twisters alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones.

“Making that movie together was one that changed my life,” said the 35-year-old.

Glen told the outlet, “It really taught me a lot about how to make a big event movie and so many of those lessons on Top Gun were put into Twisters and it really benefitted.”

When asked if Tom and Glen would share the screen in another Top Gun follow-up, to which the Hit Man actor replied, “That’s above my pay grade, man.”

Glen added, “I’m sure those conversations are happening, but you know, Maverick is at the head of those.”

On July 8 London premiere of Twisters, Tom took to Instagram and posted a photo with Glenn and wrote in the caption, “Fun night with friends, watching a movie!!”

Meanwhile, Twisters is slated to release in theatres on July 19.
