Ryan Reynolds has recently made a surprise appearance on The View show with his mother, Tamara Lee Reynolds.
On June 10, the show panelists were busy discussing about Alyssa Farah Griffin's Daytime Emmys makeup mishap over the weekend.
However, Whoopi Goldberg chimed in and introduced the unexpected guest among the crowd.
The Sister Act actress said, “You never know what's going on here at The View. Sometimes you look up and you go, this is really great! And then you look up and go, oh, snap, there's Ryan Reynolds!”
The camera panned to show Ryan sitting next to his mother in the front row.
“This isn’t a thing that happens often. It does happen occasionally,” continued Whoopi.
She asked Ryan, “How come he is here?”
To which, the Deadpool and Wolverine star revealed, “My mom is here visiting her grandkids, and yesterday she said, 'It’s my dream to go to The View.’”
“First off, I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of. Unspeakable violence,” remarked the 47-year-old.
Ryan mentioned, “I didn't want to taste the back of her hand, so I said let’s go to The View.”
“I made a call, I said, 'I’m Blake [Lively]'s husband, I’d like to come to The View. Does that get us a little further?' Here we are,” quipped the actor.
Meanwhile, the show’s co-hosts talked to Tamara about her View fandom and she responded, “I watch the show every day and it’s being recorded at my home,” while she attended in person.
