Richa Chadha, who is receiving praise for her performance in a newly released series, Heeramandi, opened up about a role which she has lost due to nepotism in the film industry.
In conversation with Filmygyan, the Fukrey actress revealed that she auditioned for that role four times, however, she lost the character to either a 'star kid or perhaps someone's girlfriend.'
On the professional front, Richa was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.
The sereies is a period drama based on the pre-partition life of courtesans in Lahore and is presently streaming on Netflix.
The show showcased the contribution made by the Heeramandi's courtesans in the freedom movement from the Britons.
Heeramandi stars Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Richa, Sharmin Segal, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Taha Shah Badussha in lead roles.
