Eminem just dropped another major hint for his upcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
After months of teasing fans with his comeback album, the Rap God, 51, seems to have finally put eager fans out of their misery by hinting at the album’s highly-anticipated release date.
Taking to his social media on Tuesday, 21st May, Eminem shared a mysterious clip of an iMessage screenshot of a text that reads, “…and for my last trick!” which was sent to “All Contacts.”
Notably, the Grammy-winner also changed his display picture to a rabbit in a top hat.
But what caught fans’ attention was the date of the text: Friday, May 31 at 12:00 AM.
Excited fans took to the comments section to deliberate the meaning of the clip, particularly the date.
“The album has to be dropping May 31st or at least a teaser,” noted one fan, while another exclaimed, “Album dropping May 31st?!”
Previously, the Lose Yourself hitmaker released a fake obituary to officially declare his rap alter ego, Slim Shady, dead.
The eulogy noted, “Ultimately, the very things that seemed to be the tools he used became calling cards that defined an existence that could only come to a sudden and horrific end. His complex and tortured existence has come to a close, and the legacy he leaves behind is no closer to resolution than the manner in which this character departed this world.”
