Rajkummar Rao commented on the industry's united backing for Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh.
During a recent interview with News18, the 39-year-old actor discussed the widespread acclaim for Alia Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Diljit Dosanjh in Amar Singh Chamkila.
The Badhaai Do actor also emphasized that rather than feeling envious, he finds inspiration in their success.
He explained, “I also feel that it doesn’t happen every time. Whenever there’s something extraordinary that happens, only then people come together and celebrate."
"It happened when Alia did Gangubai Kathiawadi. Everybody unanimously said that she delivered a brilliant performance.”
Rajkummar also acknowledged that it's uncommon for everyone in the industry to unanimously praise and celebrate a single film at the same time.
The Stree actor said, “When something hits the right notes, everybody comes together. Otherwise, liking a film is very subjective. I might like something that another person didn’t and vice-versa."
"Once in a while, however, a film comes out that meets with unanimous love from everyone in the industry," he added.
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao will next be seen portraying a challenging role in the film, Srikanth. The film is scheduled to release in the theaters on May 10, 2024.
