Is Donald Trump extremely frightened right now? Former aide spills the beans
Is Donald Trump frightened of Jan 6 Capitol Hill attack? See what his former aide reveals
A former White House aide revealed that former president Donald Trump is frightened that the American public will uncover the truth regarding the events of January 6, 2021.
Cassidy Hutchinson, who was part of Trump's presidential administration, spilled the beans during an interview with MSNBC's Jen Psaki on Monday. She asserted, "I know when he starts to get nervous."
“I know that Donald Trump has to be nervous, if not extremely frightened right now, because what is happening is, he is deploying his most loyal allies on Capitol Hill to try to discredit not only my testimony but the entire Jan. 6 investigation as a whole," pointed out.
“The facts are out there, and he doesn’t want the facts out there because he doesn’t want the American people to know what actually happened.”
Amid his 2024 campaign to reclaim the White House, Trump is "hoping that the false narrative of what occurred on Jan. 6 is what the American people will believe," she noted.
“It’s really imperative that we keep speaking about the truth, because the facts are the facts and Donald Trump has tried to smear those with his deceit and his lies,” she noted.
Donald Trump has faced two criminal indictments in connection with his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. In a recent statement, he expressed that if re-elected, one of his top priorities would be to "Free the January 6 Hostages being wrongfully imprisoned."
Earlier this month, Donald Trump called for the imprisonment of members of the House committee who investigated the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack. He also suggested that Cassidy Hutchinson, a star witness for the committee, should be prosecuted.
In response, former Rep. Liz Cheney accused Trump of spreading lies and attempting to halt the trial. Cheney highlighted that Trump is fearful of the truth coming to light, especially as key officials may testify against him.
The ongoing investigation has resulted in charges against nearly 1,400 people, with almost 490 facing charges related to assaulting or impeding law enforcement.
