Cristiano Ronaldo is impressed by Mesut Ozil — here's why

After watching some footage and being impressed, Cristiano Ronaldo has since written a message to someone Arsenal related in 2021.

Well, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was impressed by Mesut Ozil.

After Mikel Arteta terminated his contract at Arsenal back in January 2021, the German has been focusing on gym work.

He is now  twice the size when he was during his time at the Emirates Stadium.

Ozil five weeks ago showed himself working hard in the gym and on Friday, Ronaldo – who also prides himself on fitness – happened to stumble across his video.

On his old Real Madrid teammate’s video, Ronaldo said: “bro not bad” in the comments section.

Ozil’s transformation in the last few years has clearly impressed Ronaldo and the 35-year-old’s physical development is hard to ignore.

Since moving away from professional football, the man from Gelsenkirchen has followed the likes of Fernando Torres in becoming a powerhouse.

If he possessed this much strength during his time at Arsenal! – just imagine.

Combined with immense vision and world class technical ability, such power - arguably would have made Ozil an even better player.
