Two time FIFA World Cup winner and Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario has finally ended the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi debate, SportsKeeda reported.
Fans often make comparisons between the Portugal and Argentina football legends, who began their career almost two decades ago. They are two of the richest sports man in the world.
Ronaldo who made his debut in 2002 has won five Ballon d'Or awards while Messi, debuted in 2004 has eight to his name. Currently Ronaldo is the captain of Saudi club Al-Nassr while Messi is playing with David Beckham team Inter Miami.
In an interview to Mail Sports, Nazario finally answered the question that has dominated football landscape and the minds of football fans all around the globe.
In a quick-fire segment, when asked who is his favourite football player among Ronald and Messi? He chose Messi.
This is not the first time the Brazilian footballer has taken Messi's name.
During an interview, ahead of the Ballon D’or ceremony last year, he said: "The Ballon d'Or should go to Lionel Messi, without a doubt."
"What Messi did in the World Cup was special. It reminded me of the campaigns of Pelé and Maradona."
He also picked Kylian Mbappe as the best striker in the world and Paulo Maldini as the best defender.
