Kevin Costner reacts to son Hayes’ Acting Debut in New Movie ‘Horizon’
Kevin Costner’s son Hayes is 15-year-old making debut in fathers movie
Kevin Costner took to social media to praise his 15-year-old son over his acting debut.
Costner, 69, made a heartfelt post dedicated to Hayes on Instagram on Sunday, March 3, about making his acting debut in Horizon: An American Saga.
“It’s your movie you get to pick who you hang out with, Really proud of my son, Hayes, for making his acting debut in #HorizonAmericanSaga,” Costner wrote in the caption with a clip from the trailer.
“And thanks to all of you for the love you’ve shown our trailer this week. I couldn’t be more excited to share this with you.”
The footage showed a relentless hail of gunfire focused on Hayes' character and his family as he guides them into a door hidden below the floorboards of a house.
“The best part of the Horizon: Part 1 trailer,” Costner wrote over the video as Hayes crouched in the scene.
Another text, “my son” appeared in the clip when Hayes’ character said “I’m going to be with dad,” apparently highlighting his relationship with the actor.
Horizon marks Costner's first project after exiting Yellowstone and his return to directing after 2003's Open Range. The Oscar winner teased a trailer on February 26, sharing it on Instagram.
“It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time,” Costner said in a video. “And I made it for you.”
