BTS’ V took to the South-Korean community platform, Weverse, offering fans an insight into his new look after gaining over 10 kg (22 lbs) post military enlistment.
The K-pop singer wrote to his fans, giving them an update on his current look, admitting: "Time for a check-in. Currently weighing in at 72.5kg (160 lbs). Stay tuned for more updates."
Before signing up for the enlistment, V shared his intentions of putting on some weight during a live broadcast last year, expressing hope to reach the 80 mark and attain 86 kg (190 lbs) to increase his physical strength.
The Dynamite singer maintained a slim figure before embarking on the military journey, weighing in at 62kg (137 lbs) at a height of 179 cm (5’10”).
The BTS member entered the military enlistment on December 11, 2023 through the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungnam.
He is currently fulfilling his military service, stationed in the second Infantry Division, Ssangyong Uni, in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
During the broadcast, the K-pop idol also promised the army for a comeback, noting: "I'll bulk up and return.”
Fans went gaga over his recent look, speculating that he will soon reach the expected mark, complimenting his height.
The member’s discharge date is currently scheduled for June 10, 2025.
