Hillary Clinton gives shoutout to 'Taylor's boyfriend' over Chiefs Super Bowl win
The Kansas City Chiefs won their third Super Bowl game on Sunday
Former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's congratulatory message to Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs has taken the internet by surprise and added a twist to the Super Bowl festivities.
Social media went abuzz when Clinton gave an amusing and unusual shout-out.
She wrote, "Congratulations to Taylor's boyfriend and the entire Kansas City Chiefs community!" referencing Kelce's relationship with the singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, Times of India reported.
While many understood the humour in the reference, others couldn’t hide their disbelief and thought that it was posted from a parody account.
One user commented, "I can't believe this tweet is real."
Another user wrote, "Hey Bill's wife, did you enjoy the game?"
Clinton's comment had many interpretations, with some saying it was a jibe at conservatives.
Others are saying it was an attempt to break the stereotype of females being known by their male partners.
A conspiracy theory has been making the rounds around social media, claiming that Swift is a Democratic agent who is in a fake relationship with Kelce to promote Biden for the 2024 presidential elections.
The Kansas City Chiefs won their third Super Bowl game on Sunday, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes winning his third Most Valued Player title.
Taylor Swift attended the game with her famous girlfriends to support her boyfriend and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
