New book reveals how Gisele Bündchen ended marriage to Tom Brady

A new book about Tom Brady's life and career is offering new details about the end of his marriage to Gisele Bündchen.

Author Lars Anderson's upcoming book, Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatnesshas quoted an insider's claims that Bündchen told Brady the two were no longer compatible before deciding to end their 13-year marriage in 2022.

“One day, Gisele, who is really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and told Tom, ‘We’re not compatible,’” the insider is said to have spilled to Anderson.

“And just like that, she was done,” Anderson further writes in the book.

The book reportedly details growing tension between the couple over Brady's continued football career, with Bündchen allegedly pushing for him to retire as early as 2017, following the Patriots' Super Bowl win that year.

Per the book, Bündchen also questioned whether that moment might be the right time for him to step away from the sport, though Brady expressed he still wanted to continue playing.

The strain reportedly continued in the years that followed, including an occasion where Bündchen allegedly reached out to one of Brady's former teammates, hoping he might help encourage Brady to retire.

The teammate has previously said he instead told Brady to keep playing as long as he wanted.

The book also describes a note Bündchen allegedly wrote to Brady in 2018, expressing a desire for more of his presence at home and additional support with their children and her own career, particularly during the demanding NFL season.

Brady and Bündchen announced their divorce in October 2022. Bündchen has since remarried and welcomed a child with her husband, Joaquim Valente, while Brady has been linked to a few high-profile relationships since the split.
