David Beckham shares heartfelt update as beloved companion 'gets old'

David Beckham shared a rare peek into his bond with his longtime furry companion as his dog “Olive is getting old.”

The former English football player took to his Instagram account and posted a sweet photo of himself with Olive.

In the picture, David can be seen sitting on a bench, seemingly in the of his house, along with his beloved black Cocker Spaniel.

The retired athlete was donning a casual grey T shirt paired with black sweat pants and wore a wool newsboy-style flat cap.

As it seemed that David was having his evening tea, he sweetly embraced Olive resting beside him.

For those unaware David and wife Victoria Beckham welcomed their beloved dog into their home in September 2015.

David reflecting on his bond with his pet dog, who has since adoption become a major fixture of their public family life and social media, he wrote under the picture, “My little Olive is getting old & slowing down.”

He also expressed his bittersweet feeling adding a sad face, two brown hearts and a dog emojis.

David and Victoria’s pet dig once made headlines back in 2019 when the fashion designer posted a picture of David who was napping with Olive wrapped in an expensive Louis Vuitton x Supreme designer blanket reportedly worth £4,600 at the time.

Olive has also made an appearance on the cover of British Vogue's October 2018 issue alongside Victoria and their children.
