Miley shares full song after mysterious promotions of 'Bass Persuades'
Miley Cyrus has officially revealed the complete song and music video to Bass Persuades, which she has been promoting via billboards and social media for nearly a week.
The move comes after making a major change to her famous name, dropping her surname to just go as "Miley."
The 33-year-old singer shared a clip of her new song, Bass Persuades, on social media Thursday as she also dropped the full song on YouTube.
In the video, Cyrus wears black underwear, black tights and a leather jacket as she sings along to the track with her blonde hair blowing in the wind.
The music video also shows Cyrus dancing with a group of dancers on a moonlit city street. The performance appears to take inspiration from Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller video.
Fans quickly shared their excitement over the new era. “Oh this is everythinggggg,” one wrote, while another commented, “Obsessed.”
Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, has also supported the decision to drop the popular surname. “I always called my little girl Miley. Just…Miley,” he wrote on Instagram. “I told miley yesterday I felt good about her going with her first name.”
Miley was born Destiny Hope Cyrus. Her mother, Tish Cyrus, previously explained that Billy Ray gave her the nickname Miley because she smiled so much as a child.
