'Hercules' star Kevin Sorbo reveals why he left California

Kevin Sorbo has no interest in returning to California.

Almost seven years after leaving the Golden State for Florida, the 67-year-old actor confirmed that he would never return to California.

Speaking to Fox News, the Hercules star revealed that Florida has given him something he felt was increasingly difficult to find in California - "acceptance."

“I mean, here in Florida, yeah, we get five months of pretty high humidity. It’s pretty hot, but the winters here are really quite amazing,” Kevin said.

“But yeah, there are things I miss, but they can keep their taxes, they can keep their traffic, and they can keep their negativity, I’m done," he continued.

Kevin revealed that after leaving California, the independent film community has embraced him. Filmmakers and creators from across the country reached out to him.

“The people I’ve met here, the contacts I’ve met, it’s been incredible,” he said.

During the interview, Kevin also criticized Hollywood for blacklisting stars who hold conservative and Christian views.

“That’s why I find a lot of things in Hollywood, with their blacklisting people that have conservative or Christian viewpoints, I find it like they’re seventh grade mean girls,” theGod's Not Dead actor said.

“It’s just ridiculous and childish to me. We all have different opinions. There’s nothing wrong with that," he added.
