King Charles drops abdication plans because of Prince William: Here's why

King Charles has reportedly dropped his abdication plans and wants to stay on as King for as long as possible, and the reason is Prince William, the royal insiders have claimed.

The Closer, citing the insiders, has reported that King Charles has changed his mind to step down and strengthened his resolve to stay on as King for as long as possible, because the monarch worries that “William is too hot-tempered and impulsive to rule the Crown.”

Charles is reportedly keen to make peace with his estranged son Prince Harry, who recently reunited with the monarch last month.

But William is not in the mood for brotherly peace and love, the insiders have claimed.

The report further says the monarch appears unmoved by the Prince of Wales objections.

“It’s upsetting and exasperating for Charles, but he’s made his position abundantly clear and no amount of foot stamping or complaining from William will make any difference.

“He’s actually telling people that it’s strengthened his resolve to stay on as King for as long as possible, because he worries that William is too hot-tempered and impulsive to rule the Crown, and that he has a lot of growing up to do in the coming years.”

The close confidant added the major development has only served to make him (William) feel more “irritated and undermined.”

The fresh claims came as everyone was talking about a potential abdication of King Charles amid his cancer battle earlier.
