Senior royals see Andrew as important member of the Royal family despite King Charles and Prince William’s stance on him
Former Prince Andrew is still considered an important part of the Royal family even though senior royals, including King Charles and Prince William, are keeping their distance from him.
The monarch not only stripped Andrew of his titles and honours and asked him to leave Royal Lodge but also made it clear that legal matters involving him should continue without any interference.
However, a royal source said that the situation is more personal behind the scenes as Princess Anne has stayed in touch with Andrew and has even checked on him during difficult periods.
The source also claimed that the Princess Royal has even considered offering the disgraced ex-royal a place to stay at her Gatcombe Park estate.
"Among Andrew's siblings, there's an understanding that, despite everything that has happened publicly, their relationship with Andrew doesn't simply disappear,” the source said.
They added, “He is still part of the family, and that carries a certain responsibility, even if it's handled quietly and without any public display.
"It's less about defending him or excusing past decisions, and more about acknowledging that, at the end of the day, he is their brother – and that connection is something they can't entirely turn away from, no matter how complicated the situation has become."
