Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's secret plan to outshine royals exposed

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly wish to pursue their charitable ventures in a manner that is "more relatable" compared to the Royal Family's traditional style.

A well-placed source spilled to Woman's Day that King Charler's letter making it clear the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are "non-working royals" was a severe blow for the couple.

But Harry and Meghan view their private citizen status as an "opportunity rather than a limitation."

“He’s saying he’s going to build on the momentum that he had when he was last in the UK and everyone was saying that he was a breath of fresh air and what the monarchy needs right now,” the insider said.

“Just because he and Meghan are not officially working royals doesn’t mean they can’t devote themselves to service," a tipster added.

For those unaware, Harry and Meghan returned to Britain last month after spending six years in the United States.

Following their return, King Charles issued a statement emphasizing that the Sussex couple are non working royals.

"Following the decision by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to relocate to the UK, we have received a number of requests for guidance," the latter read. "To help avoid doubt or confusion, the King has directed that the following information be shared."

"In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess stepped down from undertaking representative duties on behalf of the sovereign, and are no longer working members of the Royal Family," it added.
