Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finally reacted to ‘disgusting’ claims about both of them by a royal expert, which have been serialised online.
According to the Daily Express, royal expert Tom Bower forthcoming book, Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family delves into the ongoing, strained relationship between the royal couple and Windsor.
Meghan and Harry released the statement via their representative while reacting to The Times' serialisation of Bower's latest work.
The royal couple’s spokesperson said, "Mr Bower's commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, 'the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,' language that speaks for itself.”
The representative further said, "He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met."
"Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him."
The royal expert, in his book alleges that Meghan issued a furious remark to Prince William during a reconciliation meeting between Harry, William, Kate Middleton and the Duchess after the Sussexes’ honeymoon in 2018.
He further revealed Meghan’s warning to the Prince of Wales saying the Duchess purportedly "snapped" at William, declaring: "If you don't mind, get your finger out of my face."
