Another season of sizzling Heated Rivalry will begin production "as soon as humanly possible," per Jacob Tierney, the creator, executive producer, director and writer of the series.
Tierney joined the show’s exec producer Brendan Brady for an interview with CBS Mornings and told Gayle King that Season 2 is set to begin filming in August with an expected release date in April 2027.
The series, which is based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series, follows an unlikely romance between hockey players and rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.
"There will be more Heated Rivalry on your TVs truly as soon as humanly possible," Tierney said, telling fans to "enjoy the yearn" until season 2 drops next year.
The HBO and Crave show stars Hudson Williams as Shane and Connor Storrie as Ilya. The two leads shot to immense fame overnight when the show began airing.
Heated Rivalry also stars The Borgias star François Arnaud, who made headlines when he unfollowed the cast and creator of the show last month. The star brought his Instagram following down to 51 from 1000 after facing immense backlash after he was seen with Storrie.
Fans of the show gave the actor a hard time becasue they ship Storrie with Williams. Arnaud and Storrie have continued to make public appearances together, further feuling romance rumors, while the actor has re-followed the cast of Heated Rivalry as well as Tierney.
