Sarah Ferguson has a number of thoughts regarding the chance to come clean and expose how close or separate she’s remained from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Veteran royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams revealed these “six-figure sum” plans of the ex-Duchess in his chat with Express UK.
According to him, “There is little doubt that if Sarah Ferguson consented to some sort of kiss and tell interview, there would be plenty of takers and they would pay her substantial sums.”
Furthermore, “if the interviews given by Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The rise and fall of the House of York, are anything to go by, a large amount is yet to be revealed, which could prove extremely embarrassing to her,” he also said.
This comes after a source previously sat with The Sun and exposed how deep this desire goes.
At the time they were quoted saying, “Sarah and her team have had offers from all over the world for a sit-down. So she’s thinking things over very carefully.”
Especially since “she and her team know a televised interview would be make or break for her in terms of salvaging her reputation.”
Reason being “it would also give her the chance to spell out the fact she knew nothing about what Epstein and his associates were doing in terms of abusing girls.”
What is pertinent to mention is that Fergie still stands by the claim that she’s done “nothing wrong” and has been “harshly treated” by the media and public following the email leaks.
For those unversed, the email leak in question is one that underscores her correspondence with the financier. In it Fergie says, “As you know, I did not, absolutely not, say the 'P word' about you but understand it was reported that I did. I know you feel hellaciously let down by me. You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family.”
Since that email leaked, her representative James Henderson did attempt to offer an explanation regarding the reason for even going forward with the apology to Epstein and said, “People don’t understand how terrible Epstein was. I can remember everything about that call. It was a chilling call and I’m surprised anybody was ever friends with him given the way he talked to me.”
“He said he would destroy the York family and he was quite clear on that. He said he would destroy me. He wasn’t shouting. He had a Hannibal Lecter-type voice. It was very cold and calm and really menacing and nasty.”
Henderson also added, “the pressure she was put under to protect her family must have been huge. I am sure there were legal actions. And this was long before the duke’s life had been ruined by his association with Epstein. It was 14 years ago and everyone will do what they have to do to protect their family. Her family and children will always come first for her.”
