But what made this miletone feel different? Well, for the unversed, around the same time the Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker has quietly re-entered the band’s orbit.
While not in the way fans have been dreaming of, recent reports indicate that Zayn, 32, has been reinstated as an active director–- a role he stepped back from when he exited the band— of PPM Music Limited, the company formed by the band members during their early career.
This administrative update, filed on November 3, 2025, has been interpreted by some as a sign of renewed ties among the remaining members Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, especially after the death of fellow bandmate Liam Payne in October 2024.
It is pertinent to note that while the members have reportedly been in contact and are involved in some potential collaborative projects, including a rumoured Netflix documentary featuring Zayn and Louis, there has been no official announcement of a musical comeback.
Night Changes has over 2 billion streams on Spotify, meanwhile, its music video on YouTube has surpassed 1 billion views.
Notably, after Liam’s death, the song saw a huge surge, reaching number six on Spotify’s daily global songs chart, with over 4.6 million streams in a day.
