Adam Sandler teamed up with Timothée Chalamet to play a round of pick-up basketball with fans.

In a video circulating over social media the Men, Women, & Children co-stars are seen dribbling, dodging, passing, and shooting hoops alongside two young fans in an entertaining two-on-two match.

The Happy Gilmore star rocked his signature casual look featuring red trousers and a blue shirt, while the two-time Oscar nominee sported black leather pants paired with white shirt.

Fans were delighted to see the duo enjoying themselves, with one offering a brief commentary on their moves.

"Chalanet [sic] plays good defense but cannot shoot. Sandler seems to be better all around player: shotts rebounds, assists, defense," a social media user wrote, referring to a funny moment when the the Dune star missed a goal, followed by a miss from Sandler, before the latter finally scored.

For the unversed, Chalamet and the three-time Grammy nominee have been basketball buddies since July 2023, when the actors were playing a three-on-three in New York City’s Soho neighbourhood.

Their friendship has been described as "unexpected but genuine," and they have publicly praised each other.

Although their only on-screen collaboration was the Jason Reitman–directed 2014 movie, which was Chalamet’s feature film debut, the duo have shared many memorable off-screen moments.

On January 25, 2025, A Complete Unknown actor hosted Saturday Night Live SNL and also performed as the musical guest.

Sandler, 59, made a surprise appearance to introduce him, and joked by mispronouncing Chalamet’s name (“Timothée Chalameeeet!”).

At the 2025 Oscars, the Grown Ups alum showed up in a super casual outfit: a hoodie and basketball shorts.

During the ceremony, he leaned into the 29-year-old actor's seat to yell “Chalamet!” into his ear, and gave him a big hug, before leaving the scene by jokingly inviting everyone to a 5-on-5 midnight basketball game at Veteran Park on his way out.
