Shah Rukh Khan has opened up about why he hasn’t worked with Akshay Kumar, in an interview that has been circulating online.
The 59-year-old actor, widely acclaimed for his diverse roles in Indian cinema, has once again made headlines with his candid remarks.
In an exclusive conversation with DNA, the King Khan briefly discussed the idea of doing three to four films like the Sooryavanshi star and potentially working together on a project.
Responding to the question, he said, “What do I say to this? I don’t wake up as early as him. I go to sleep when Akshay is waking up. His day starts early. By the time I start working, he is packing up and going home. So he can put in more hours of work. I’m a nocturnal person. Not many people are fond of shooting at night like me.”
Later in the interview, the Om Shanti Om actor added that it would be “fun” to work with Akshay, but their contrasting sleep schedules make it difficult for them to coordinate on set.
Shah Rukh, who was last seen in Jawan alongside Deepika Padukone, is currently gearing up for his next project, King.
Siddharth Anand’s upcoming directorial, featuring Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh, Deepika, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and more, is slated for release in late 2026.
For the unversed, Shah Rukh’s fans are eagerly anticipating his return in a fresh and exciting role.
