ISLAMABAD: The voice against conventional politics of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak is gaining momentum as five rebel Members of National Assembly (MNAs) of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) are now joined by eight members of Provincial Assembly.

On Monday evening, these eight MPAs joined hands with rebel MNAs in Islamabad Club in an Iftar party. They discussed various aspects of their movement against conventional politics of KP CM Pervaiz Khattak and future line of action.

Talking to The News, MNA Col (R) Amirullah Marwat said that Pervaiz Khattak is an old politician who is doing conventional politics while PTI is the name of change. “He is serving only four districts of the province, what about other 21 districts?” asked Col (R) Amirullah Marwat.

MNA Engineer Dawar Khan Kundi said, “You see we have been joined by eight MPAs today and many other MNAs and MPAs are in line to join us. All these respectable MPs have rejected the conventional politics of Pervaiz Khattak.”

He requested this scribe not to mention the name of these MPAs who have joined them, as this is very preliminary stage and they want to gain more and more momentum. “We discussed various aspects of governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and no one is happy with conventional politics of the chief minister, as all have joined PTI to bring change in the country, but still we see no change in KP,” said MNA from Tank Engineer Dawar Khan Kundi.

Col (R) Amirullah Marwat said, “Human beings and animals drink water from same pond of rain water in dozens villages in my district. Keep aside basic health or education facilities, clean drinking water is not available to hundreds and thousands of villages in my constituency, but no one is taking notice of it.”

Jobs and posts in different government office are being sold and good positions are being handed over to favourite people. Mentioning story published in daily The News, Col (R) Amirullah Marwat said, “Your newspaper published story a few days back, in which it was clear that appointments made in Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad were not on merit, and nepotism and corruption was clear in those appointments. So where is the change, which is PTI’s slogan?”

MNA Engineer Dawar Khan Kundi said we met Imran Khan and apprised him of what is going on in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He appreciated us for keeping up the slogans of the PTI. “We are doing politics not for posts or making money. We just want to serve the masses through PTI’s platform which is the only party one can expect change from it, as its leader is selfless and true leader.”

He said, “We shall make clear our line of action in coming few days but one thing is crystal clear; we will not allow conventional politics in our province and strive hard to bring change in the province and country.
