Sonu Nigam and A.R Rahman were supposedly having a rift, which was initiated by the former a few months ago.
The two big names of the Bollywood music industry were reportedly on bad terms ever since Nigam shared his opinion about Rahman as a singer.
The 58-year-old is widely known to be an amazing composer rather than being a singer. In an interview, the Kal Ho Naa Ho singer was asked what he thinks about Rahman as a singer.
To which he replied saying, “Obviously, he is not a very trained singer. The tone of his voice is very nice. He wouldn’t call himself a great singer, so what can we say?“
“His voice might not be great, but he is always in sur because he is AR Rahman."
Reportedly, these comments sparked controversy and rumours were spread suggesting that the two were not on good terms.
But, as per the latest reports, the duo finally seems to have set aside their differences as they appeared at HT’S India’s Most Stylish Awards 2025, where the 51-year-old presented an honour to the Oscar winning musician.
Rahman even asked Sonu to sing a few lines on stage, but latter insisted the Luka Chuppi vocalist to sing first.
The Tum Tak composer sang a few lines from his latest release soundtrack Zinda Rahe from Chhaava.
On the other hand, Sonu hummed a stanza from his hit track Satrangi Re from movie, Dil Se.
