Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth has opened that he suffered mental health issues due to fame that came along with his profession.
While discussing the discomfort that came with fame, the 45-year-old revealed that he got pushed into Post Traumatic Syndrome (PTSD) when people started recognizing him as an actor.
“We’ve taken our own journeys to get here. It took me seven to eight years after becoming a star to not have anxiety and PTSD when people would come and speak to me”, added the Indian 2 star.
One of the reasons of him being cold feet with fame was because nobody in his family has ever experienced it and so Siddharth 'didn’t enjoy it'.
“Nobody in my family’s history has ever experienced this. And I didn’t enjoy it. I was told, ‘You can’t be ungrateful.’ But I’m not—it’s a mental health situation," the Indian actor told The Hollywood Reporter.
