AR Rahman's bassist Mohini Dey has publicly announced divorce, following the singer's separation with ex-wife Saira Banu.
Dey, who frequently shares stage with Rahman, revealed her separation from husband and music composer Mark Hartsuch.
Taking to Instagram, the couple made the announcement through a joint statement.
The performer and her estranged partner revealed that their decision to separate is mutual and amicable agreement.
They went on explaining that the different perspective and life goal friends led them to part ways.
However, the couple assured their followers that they would continue collaborating on various projects, including MaMoGi and the Dey groups, highlighting their strong professional relationship.
On the contrary, Rahman and Saira officially announced their divorce after 29 years of togetherness, mentioning 'significant emotional strain in their relationship', on Tuesday.
The couple's lawyer shared their joint statement that revealed that A.R Rahman and Saira Banu have made the difficult decision to separate from each other.
