Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan has reportedly departed Yash's next project titled Toxic.
Earlier, various media reports suggested that the 43-year-old actress had been cast as Yash’s sister in the movie Toxic.
As per Pinkvilla's report, a source familiar with the situation disclosed that Kareena and the team have parted ways.
The insider revealed, “Kareena Kapoor’s dates do not align with the dates of Yash for Toxic. After making efforts to set the calendar right, the makers have amicably parted ways.”
“Toxic has a strong sibling emotion, and the part of the sister is very crucial to the narrative, warranting the presence of a top star. The makers are looking to cast actresses with Pan India presence for the part,” the source added.
Toxic, starring Yash will also feature Kiara Advani as the female lead.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 10, 2025.
On her professional endeavor, Kareena was last appeared in the film, Crew, alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
The film, released on March 29, 2024, garnered positive reviews, and grossed over INR 147.61 crore worldwide.
