Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra's new film Amar Singh Chamkila garnered praise from filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and actor Kunal Kemmu.
Taking to Instagram, the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director shared the Netflix hit movie's poster and wrote, "This one truly shines," referring to the name Chamkila.
Zoya also tagged Imtiaz Ali, the director of the film, alongside the lead cast of the musical drama.
On the other hand, Kunal penned a heartfelt note for the entire team of Amar Singh Chamkila for delivering a masterpiece for the viewers.
He began his note by lauding Imtiaz Ali for making this [film] "exactly the way you did. It lingers within long after you have watched it.”
The Dhol actor showered praises on Parineeti for her incredible performance. He added, "I'm so proud of you my friend."
Speaking of Diljit's performance, Kunal wrote, "Paaji don't even know what to say about you."
He said, "You are a supernova and you shine brightest as Chamkila. What a performance and that voice is just something else."
It is pertinent to mention here that the newly released film is a biopic based on the tragic murder of the renowned Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila.
