Ram Charan once shared that his wife, Upasana, used to feel jealous about intimate scenes in his films, noting that she comes from a different background.
An old interview is making rounds on social media, in which the 39-year-old actor discussed with Masala in 2013 how his wife, Upasana, would feel jealous of his close bond with his mother, Surekha, and his on-screen intimacy.
During the conversation, Ram mentioned that it took some time for Upasana to grasp the workings of a film set as she hails from a non-filmy background.
The RRR actor also explained that he had to accompany his wife and provide insights into how films operate.
Ram said at that time, “I think she (Upasana) gets jealous when she sees the way I connect with my mother. As far as intimate scenes are concerned, I guess I shouldn’t lie about it. Yes, she was not comfortable with it initially."
"It’s understandable, she comes from a very different background, so it was hard for her to accept me doing these scenes," he added.
The Game Changer actor further shared, "Frankly, I wasn’t sure she would understand, but to my surprise, she did! She’s very mature, and I love how she has blended into my family.”
Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela tied the knot in 2012 after being friends and dating for several years before formalizing their relationship.
