The Om Shanti Om director revealed that she had always been focused on her work and, during her 20s, marriage and motherhood were not priorities for her.

Farah shared that the idea of marriage briefly crossed her mind at the age of 22, though her family advised against it.

She said, “Marriage was not on my mind at all. I think at 22 or something, I thought I will get married but I have a weird family."

"They got together and they said we will kick you out of the house if you get married this young, without doing anything in life. So they were the complete opposite of what normal parents would do."

Recounting how her mother emphatically warned her, Farah unveiled, “My mother said I’ll throw you out of the house. You have to make something of your life. You have to be financially independent before you get married.”

Moreover, she also mentioned that prior to meeting her husband Shirish Kunder, the idea of marriage had never even crossed her mind.

Farah expressed that their journey would have been challenging if they hadn't become parents.

She shared, “If there was no IVF, I probably would not have had kids and I think either Shirish would have killed me or I would have killed him by now. By now, we would have killed each other because the children are a big factor in keeping everyone together."
