Arbaaz Khan discussed nepotism in Bollywood and expressed his opinion that attributing an actor's achievements solely to their family background is unjust.
During a recent interview with Timeout With Ankit, the 56-year-old actor said that being from a well-connected family might provide certain opportunities, but it doesn't assure success.
He also emphasized that getting an initial opportunity doesn't necessarily guarantee long-term success in one's career.
The Dabangg director also noted that they also had the chance to network in the film industry because their father was a scriptwriter and involved in Bollywood.
“Meeting someone becomes easier if your father is part of the industry, but that doesn’t guarantee work. It may give you a break but won’t build your career,” he said.
Arbaaz also expressed his view that while someone might get an initial opportunity, true success in a career requires more than just that.
He explained, "Sohail and I may not be as successful as other superstars or our brother Salman Khan, for that matter, but we are still here. We are working and are busy doing other things."
"No one favors anyone because it’s a commercial thing so it’s very unfair to say that someone is working well because of somebody he is related to," he added.
