Babita Phogat, Indian professional wrestler visited the home of late Dangal actor Suhani Bhatnagar in Faridabad to offer her condolences to the grieving parents.
Taking to her Instagram account on Monday, Babita shared a post, featuring pictures from Suhani's home, where she met the actor's parents.
In one photo, the late star's parents were joined by the 34-year-old wrestler and others for a prayer gathering.
The other picture featured Babita joining her hands in prayer for the departed soul.
She captioned the post, “Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the role of my childhood in the film Dangal, reached her Faridabad residence today and paid condolences to her family and expressed condolences. Om Shanti.”
Suhani, who portrayed young Babita in the film Dangal, passed away at the age of 19 on Friday, while undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi.
Her father confirmed that she died due to dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory illness causing skin rash and muscle weakness.
Suhani's symptoms began two months ago with swelling in her left hand.
Her parents said in a joint statement to ANI, “She started developing swelling on her hand but we thought that it was just a skin disease... We took her to a few dermatologists but nothing helped."
"When we admitted her to AIIMS, she was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis. While treatment, she got an infection, and her body started producing fluids that collapsed her lungs and she succumbed to it,” the statement added.
